You're very quick to call names anyone that doesn't agree with you, kinda sad, really.

Althou I can not say I agree with most of Sasori or Predator wrote I have to say they they deliver their arguments in a very rational way and - all in all - it was a good discussion. Besides we agreed on few things so your theory actually goes nowhere.

Bonuses that are mentioned earlier are typical goofs of socialism and one of the reasons for Greece's downfall.

Low post count, irrational way of arguing, quick to dismiss arguments on personality reasons, far right views. I'd say you're not that hard to put a stamp on, but because you get upset because I'm so "quick to call names" (I called you a moron for your opinions, once  ) I'll let that stamp be a mystery, wouldn't want to have you run off to the admins crying about me calling you a moron twice, now would we?..

Pointless aside: anyone who would consider Clinton's presidency a "flop" because he had sex with an intern is a complete, simple-minded, fucking moron. That's not name-calling. That's "they shouldn't be allowed to fucking vote in a really, really serious way" kind of assessment. This is the type of shit that allows people to have legitimate arguments against democracy. If people think government is American Idol, they SHOULD be second class citizens.

As for Brosstan being a prick: aren't you the guy who argued with me using your "social studies" book? I'd take a chill pill and leave being malicious to people who aren't browsing mmashare during recess.

Is it dramatic? Should children be allowed to vote? There's a reason 18 is the legal voting age. Conspiracy theories aside, it's because, in theory, the youth are not intelligent enough to vote. What about adults who are capable of intelligence but clearly aren't?

And who among us would make such distinctions?

Our elected officials?

Or maybe just the uber intelligent individuals like yourself who are incapable of faulty belief systems and logical fallacy?!

Its still a valid point. Some people neglect their right to vote. And not just in the way of not using that right (i.e. not voting) but in the way of voting for the guy that promises you the most money (studentmoney if youre a student, less taxes for rich people if you're rich, etc.).

Not to mention the point Jojo is trying to make of people just not bothering to do any research on who to vote for and go for someone just because of religion or media.

Then again, you can't really make anyone a second-hand citizen in today's society however points can be made against the working of a democracy because of this.

You still can't let that go can you? One mistranslation of the name of the studies, and you still hold it against me? I get it, it's not called social studies at a higher level....
If I see someone making absolutely no sense about something as morally wrong as banning gay marriage, and then goes to say socialism screwed Greece over, I'm gonna say something. People like that are the people who actually believe Fox News is an un-biased news organization and base all their opinions from it...

funny how the countries that survived best were the one with a strong socialistic foundation, thus not invested in the private sector so that they took less of a hit from corporate greed. Sweden is currently to the right and doing ok, that was because of years and years of socialistic policy bringing stability. Spain just recently became socialistic after the terror attacks. I bet the same pattern applies to Greece. If you want to look at economical patterns you need to look at more then the here and now and certainly not use FOX news as a source.
Also Id dare say the Greece question is more complex then capitalism vs socialism.

Says socialism is terrible and blames country's collapse on it.

The very non-socialist United States is on the bring of bankruptcy.

Corruption and the general culture of greece is what greece screwed over ;)

Examples: Pension at 53 or close
A lot of inhabitants that dont pay taxes
40% +- of the population employed by the goverment in one way or another

They should be the only ones allowed to vote. We´d have free ice cream, no wars and loads of vacations :)

Hear Hear! I like this idea, it gets my vote! Oh wait...

I think the way Supreme does about the current voting model... Any system put in place to regulate who and who cannot vote would unquestionably be flawed and arbitrary in some aspect, and would disenfranchise large groups of the population, which would not go over well. BUT it is still a very good reason anyways, why the system is not really working out for us right now. We have huge groups of people voting AGAINST their own self interests because they're too stupid to figure things out.
